Hello, I am a student Applied computer science and I am in my last year and I like to think I have now a decent enough understanding of coding to start with game development. From my experience in college I know that learning in a peer tutoring environment is more efficient and fun, you are motivated, enthusiastic and there is a certain pressure to 'achieve', a certain feeling of competition.

Now for this reason I am looking for people (don't really care for background, age, race, religion, education, knowledge and whatever comes to mind really.) that are interested in game development and the technologies, ideas, principles and patterns that stand behind it. I want to achieve a small 'club' to dabble into these things and everything game related, not only coding but also design, analysis, ... . I must point out here though that the goal here is not 'making a game that gives me a ton of money and/or fame.' The contrary actually, if ever something gameworthy would sprout from this, I would love to make it available for free, as the main goal here is education. Learning, understanding, building friends. Yes we can later on start a gamedev team, but the major goal here is again, learning.

As I already said, I am not looking for a specific kind of people, everybody is welcome. If you don't have any program knowledge at all, you are welcome. Teaching you about coding will only improve my own, so it is a win-win situation. The only thing required is an adequate pc system and access to the internet. I said that I don't care for your age, and that is true, whether you are 8 or 88 I do not care. But I do care for one thing however. Maturity. People who are fast to judge, have a pointing finger and are unable to properly discuss or engage conversation with another are not welcome. All the others are welcome =). If you are interested you can send me a note on here or just post a reaction and I will try my best to respond as quickly as possible.

Kind regards.

It was a dark and cold night, accompanied by heavy, thick rain. The droplets fell by the millions of the obsidian sky, soaking everyone that had not found shelter in time, repelling their warmth and comfort. It was the kind of night that could even keep the people inside that normally would love to dance in the rain, the kind of night that always brought misfortune and mischief with it. And in this cold night, somewhere on a very ill-lit road, drove a man his car. The windscreen wipers doing overtime trying to keep vision on the little piece of road that was lit by the car's lights. The heating at max, in hope of warming the man's bones up again after working in the cold rain at his sister's garden. The storm had torn out a tree, that then fell on the garage, killing a power line. His sister being a widow she had called him for help, and despite the late hour and bad weather he had left to help her out. As he always did. Now he was cursing about his incredibly high empathy and the fact that he couldn't say no. As he was pondering his attention gently slipped away from the road and to his thoughts. His subconscious took over and guided him through the curves and turns of the road. It was a good thing he took this way a lot, so that he knew exactly what was coming because no other driver would be able to navigate on the 2 mere meter of sight the car's light offered. His mind drifted away again, this time on the irresponsible and worthless local politicians, that only filled their pockets instead of installing decent road lightning or filling the potholes down town.

He drove gently through a sharp turn and then got on a long, straight piece of road. He automatically accelerated as he always did. And then it happened. He didn't see anything at all but the sudden thumb and bobbling of the car shook him awake. He grabbed the hand brake making his car slip and end on both lanes of the road, sideways, almost making an U-turn. The sudden shock gave him an adrenaline burst and for a moment he couldn't do anything but firmly holding his steering wheel and panting, trying to get his breath back. His knuckles were white of pressure and his shoulders and neck moved spastically along with his breathing. When he calmed down a bit he tried to look to the heavy damped windows, but naturally he didn't saw a thing because of the damp and his car wasn't turned far enough to offer light. He grabbed at the passenger seat in the dark, looking for the flashlight he had brought with him. He found it on the ground and flicked it on while he left the car. The rain had gotten even colder and thicker. After a few seconds he was already soaked by the thick and heavy rain. He felt the drops slide down his spine and skin, making random streams to reach ground. He shivered but continued on, beaming his flashlight over the road looking for something he could have hit. In his head he was repeating the same thing over and over again. 'Please let it be a deer, please let it be a deer, please let it be a dear.' While he kept repeating his mantra, his eyes followed the steady beam of light. He didn't see much except for the old road and the tree line on each side of it. It was an old wood, causing the trees to be large and bending over the road with their heavy old twigs, this all gave a perfect horrifying sight. It took him ten long and cold meters before the dim light finally hit a shadow on the ground. The heavy rain didn't made it clear what it was right away so he was forced to near it further. About two meters away he recognized it as the body of a man. He lay on his stomach with his arm before his face, but he saw the blood dripping from a head wound. He also noticed one leg in a very unnatural posture. He grasped, his fear had become reality, he ran back to the trunk of his car and rumbled inside to search for his med kit and satellite phone. While dialing the emergencies he rushed back, when he finally had dialed the last number and looked up, he only found the body to be gone. Only leaving a red stain of blood, thinned by the ongoing rain. He frantically started to look around and shine his light everywhere to see a trail or the body of the man. But he saw nothing. While he aimed his light for the umpteenth time on the tree line he heard a loud sound. The sound of something crashing into metal. He ran back to his car as fast as possible, fearing that the man had crawled to there and some wolf or bear had attacked him. But all he found was his car with a large dented in backdoor. The glass was fractured and the door was bend inwards as if somebody had hit it with a gigantic mallet. He didn't got much time to speculate about the origin of the vandalism as he was woken up out of his thoughts by the most inhumane and horrific cry he had ever heard. If you would tape the cries of the most gruesome animals on the planet and made him listen it, he would tell you it sounded like a purring cat by what he heard that night. It was a scream that made flesh and bone tingle, that made your very soul ache and try to escape your body, in fear for what might come. The kind of scream only kids think can believe. As fast a she could he opened his car door, slipping his hands several times over the handle before finally opening it. When he was half inside the scream had ended, and a heavy trampling noise had risen. The noise of something approaching very fast, something heavy and probably strong. He dropped his flashlight and decided not to reach for it when the noise got louder. He closed his door and hit the gas, finishing his turn and heading for town as fast as possible. While in his mind he was trying to match the sounds to an animal he knew off he reached for the glove box, checking it for the gun he always had with him. He checked the chamber of the gun and counted six bullets. After a minute or two of hearing or seeing nothing but the dim lit road ahead of him he started to calm down again. Then he heard a voice. 'Sir? Are you there sir?' It was the emergency hotline, he had totally forgot about it. He reached in the pocket of his jacket when suddenly his car flew forward and he heard a loud creaking sound. When he checked his center mirror he saw a shadow flying back. Something just had crashed into the back of his car. Then the shadow reappeared and crashed against his car again, this time fracturing the window. It was gone in a flash again but he swore he had seen arms, human arms. He shouted into his sat phone. 'I am in danger! I am currently driving on the teak road to autumn falls. Something is crashing against my car, time after time. Please you need to send somebody over..' A loud bang, this time from the left as something hit the passenger door. Shattered glass flew inside and cut his cheek. 'Please, my car can't take more blows like this you have to do something!' As he franticly pushed in the pedal to its fullest he heard the helpdesk lady say her studied lines. Asking for whereabouts and of course more detail. Angrily and crazed by fear he threw his phone at the back, focusing on getting the hell way from where he was now. The road finally left the woods but if he thought that it would mean the end of his nightmare he was wrong, as two more thumbs indicated that the beast had now decided to attack the left side of his car. As the thing kept bashing in on the car and he tried to keep it steady, the dim light of a dinner came in sight. He cheered of joy to see a sign of civilization. Another loud crash at the back of the car, the back window shattered and he heard one of his tires blow. Losing even more control of the car he started sliding over the road, on the bank beside it and stopped by hitting the road sign of the dinner. Breaking the wooden pillars it rested on and causing it to fall on his car roof. He grabbed his gun, and reached backwards for his phone and then left the car, making a run for the dinner. He saw an officer coming outside along with two guys. He yelled at them to get inside while looking back to see if the thing was heading for him. He didn't see a thing.
